Private beta privacy

Privacy

Clip OS is a local-first Windows clipping workstation. This page explains the private beta privacy stance while Clip OS is tested with early users.

What Clip OS stores locally

Clip OS stores settings, logs, temporary capture files, saved clip packages, and exported videos on your Windows PC. Local folders are used for app configuration, debugging, clip review, and export.

What Clip OS uploads

Clip OS does not upload raw recordings by default. Uploads only happen after a user chooses an explicit publishing action, such as YouTube upload. Platform publishing may require OAuth login, access tokens, and platform API permissions.

Beta support logs

A tester may choose to send logs or screenshots for support. Logs are used to diagnose capture, export, publishing, and crash issues. Do not send logs publicly if they contain private channel names, file paths, or account details.
